So, we did not advance our feeds this weekend, but we also did not start over. So that is a good thing. We are standing still at 9cc's an hour because a few of Alyssa's stools in the evenings tend to be looser and more liquid. Which is a sign of her dumping. It may be from her afternoon breastfeeding. We are not sure. I really hope not, because that means we will have to stop and we both enjoy the bonding time. And Alyssa LOVES to eat. My little girl is growing up so fast. She is 7 pounds 5 ounces and we advanced her to size 1 diapers. . .I am so sad. :0( I feel like I am missing out on so much with her by being in the hospital. But I want her to get better so that we don't have to spend more time here in the future.
So, let's continue to keep our fingers crossed that moving up slowly will work. I spoke with one of the Fellow doctor's in the cafeteria today and she said that they don't understand, but the smaller babies like Alyssa seem to have a more difficult time having their intestines catch on to what they need to do. They are puzzled because larger babies have to handle more volume to meet their nutritional goals. She said she wants to get Alyssa out of here even though she will miss her when she is gone. But I told the doctor we will be back to visit and can send pictures!! So, please get us home!!
For those that have been wanting to post messages. . . I did some research and changed the settings of the blog so that you do not have to have a Gmail or Blogger account. So hopefully it works and you can post messages. Let me know if you are still having issues. I love getting your comments.

She is getting chubby. she looks so bright and healthy. It's amazing what only a little time will do. I know what you mean about moving up in Diaper size, but in your case I would celebrate. Love the Basketball Daddy....
I am so excited to hear that you have been able to nurse and that she is latching on so well. That was my favorite with my kids. Soon you'll be home and having middle of the night feedings where you'll snuggle in the rocking chair and the house is all quiet and it's just you and her. That's the best. You'll be getting cozy at home soon enough.
love you guys.
