Alyssa is at 14cc's an hour today. Which is half way to her current goal of 28. . . however, if Alyssa continues to grow and put on weight, her goal will increase. Let's keep our fingers crossed and keep praying that Alyssa tolerates her feeds. We are getting close to the volume she has problems tolerating. Her stool continues to look "normal" and her out put is in line with the volume she is taking in. Both great things.
We had a Care Conference with Alyssa's main doctor's yesterday. They have changed her diagnosis to Short Gut Syndrome. Not good news, but just another thing we will deal with. They believe she is a mild case of the Syndrome.
We are now able to feed Alyssa four times a day from a bottle. I hope getting her full hour feed at once 4 times a day will help ease her hunger. She always seems so hungry. :0( As of Monday we are no longer able to breastfeed. It is a never ending battle. But, if it gets us out of here, I am willing to give breastfeeding up temporarily. We hopefully will be able to continue again soon.

Trying to figure out the significance of this picture. Does baby need a new pair of shoes? Grandpa and Grandma can do.
