Hike 8/6/11

Mommy, Daddy and I went for a hike to the Ice Caves again with some of Daddy's friends. I took Mickey and Minnie with me on the hike. I held them for a little while. We stopped at the river to touch the very cold water and threw rocks in the river. I walked on the snow all by myself. Since we have had such a cold summer, the ice caves haven't formed. But we all still had a really good time. We had a picnic lunch at the top and I fell asleep on the way down.

Binky Fairy 8/6/11

I have not been using a binky for a while now, but every once in a while I will ask for it. So mommy and daddy decided that they would call the binky fairy and have her take them away, so that they are no longer available. So I set out my binky's before I went to bed and when I woke up they were gone and she left me a Little People boat. (Mommy and Daddy bought the boat a long time ago thinking that it would be difficult to get rid of my binky. It wasn't. I pretty much stopped asking for it on my own a while ago. And mommy and daddy wanted to still give me the toy.)

Idaho 8/1/11

We had an unfortunate trip to Idaho. My great grandpa North passed away. Daddy is very upset because he admired his grandpa so much. We tried to make the best of spending time with family under the undesirable circumstances. I enjoyed playing music at my Great Aunt Lora and Uncle Joe's house. I LOVED the piano. I had lots of fun swimming and playing hide and go seek with my daddy's cousins and Great Uncle Bart. Mommy and Daddy said I did really well on the drive both ways. They gave me an early birthday present to keep me occupied. They said it did wonders. I continued to do well on my potty training. I keep a dry diaper both ways and did not have any issues using the potty on our stops.

Potty Training 7/29/11

Mommy decided that it was time to fully Potty Train. Mommy made me go cold turkey on diapers during the day. I have been doing really well and haven't been having too many accidents. I tell mommy that "diapers are for babies". I am still wearing a diaper at night, but am waking up in the morning and finding mommy to tell her that I have to go potty. One of the first days that I didn't wear diapers mommy, daddy and I were going someplace and they said that I had to wear a pull up. I was NOT happy. I like wearing my big girl panties!

Dr. Check Up -7/22/11

I had a check up with my surgeon at Children's Hospital. They are very happy with how well I am growing and putting on weight. I now weight 33 pounds and am 37.8 inches tall. Mommy thought they were going to go crazy when they saw how much I eat. But they said that I make good choices in what I eat and am growing and putting on weight. They think I am probably going to be one of those people that eat a lot and often. They are not overly concerned with my distended belly. There is nothing that they would really do to fix it at this point. It is just a sign of how my body has adapted to my short gut. They are predicting that I am going to be between 5'9 and 6 foot. Wow! Mommy is going to look really small when I grow up.
