Improving

Alyssa has been really improving in both her speech as well as her motor skills. She is talking more and is really getting into jumping and dancing. It is really fun to see how much more adventurous she is becoming. We went to Jungle Play land today and I cringed because her favorite thing was the "ball" area. But she was having so much fun jumping into the balls. She had a lot of fun climbing, sliding and jumping. She didn't want to leave. She was crying so hard when we left part sad, part tired. We had a few play dates and she found some toys she absolutely loved. A bus Power wheel and an elephant, her new obsession. They kept her occupied and allowed me to talk with some moms while she played.

Music

I really enjoy listening to music and dancing. Mommy decided to let me make some of my own music. After awhile I decided it looked like a hat. I have even started to sing.

Girly Girl

I have really become interested in purses. I carry it around the house and like to take it with me when we go to the store. I also love wearing my sparkly shoes.

Play Dates

We had a busy week for play dates. Mommy is really trying to get me around kids my age. This week we had three play dates. Two at our house and one at a friends house. I realize I like going to a friends house but don't like when they come to my house. It means they get to play with my toys. . . . I don't like that. We had a lot of fun. I was so excited to see my friend Zane that I woke up at 3 in the morning asking for them (signing friend). I couldn't wait for them to come to our house. But as soon as they showed up, I didn't want to play with him. After awhile I warmed up to him, but I didn't want to give him a hug or kiss. Zane tried the entire time to give me hugs and kisses. Mommy says you can see how tall I am. Zane is 3 months younger than me and I am quite a bit taller. (Mommy says he weighs a lot less too.)
