MERRY CHRISTMAS

I now know what all the fuss was about. Christmas was fun. I got lots of neat stuff. I didn't have a very good Christmas Eve though. I was suppose to spend it with family, but due to the snow and my throwing up 10 times during the day, mommy and daddy stayed home. They were on the phone with my doctor at Children's through out the day. Fortunately, I stopped throwing up and the doctor didn't make mommy and daddy take me down to the Emergency Room. They were pretty scared. We still had fun though. Mommy read me "The Night Before Christmas" and then daddy read "The Polar Express". Daddy and tried sleeping downstairs to wait for Santa. But Mommy came down and made us go up to bed and I never did see him When I woke up on Christmas morning, Santa had been there. I got to open up my stocking and my first Christmas present. We ended up staying home Christmas Day too.

I had a lot of fun at my grandma and grandpa Wejrowski's house. I wore a dress for the first time and had fun playing with the ornaments under the Christmas tree. I sure had my family laughing. I really like going to grandma and grandpa's house. Because I never am put down. Someone is always holding me. (the way it should be. :0)

I am LOVING my new formula!!

Finally, after all my fighting of the bottle and mommy telling the doctor that I don't like formula, they switched me to a new formula that is vanilla flavored. It sure is yummy!!! Mommy says it smells like cake batter. I can finish an ounce and a half in 8 to 10 minutes. When it is all gone I get mad because I want more. But, Mommy and Daddy are scared that I might be taking too much and are scared that I will "dump" or throw up.

I am learning how to share when I am happy and am sharing my happiness by smiling at my parents. Here is a picture of me enjoying my swing.

I have been enjoying snuggling in with Mommy and Daddy with all this snow and ice. They aren't venturing out. They said we got over 6 inches of snow last night! I am suppose to meet some new friends this week, but am not sure if it is going to happen because of all the snow.

Update

We took Alyssa to Children's for her check up. Alyssa is not putting on weight like the doctor's would like, so we are going to try yet another formula. Hopefully her bowel will absorb the nutrients and she will start putting on weight. The more she grows the more her bowel grows.

Also, NJ found a lump in Alyssa's groin area and we found out it is a hernia that requires surgical repair. We are going to have the surgery at the beginning of the year. Just add it to the exciting saga of Alyssa's life. She is such a strong person. The doctor pushed in her hernia, which was actually her ovary, as he was doing it he said this is going to hurt her and all she gave was a little wince. She is absolutely amazing.

My Stocking

First Snow

Yesterday it snowed, which doesn't happen all that often here. Mommy and Daddy got really excited to take me outside. They said when I get older I will have so much fun outside in this white stuff. I just looked around and took it all in, not really understanding what all the fuss was about. It was really cold. At least they bundled me up in a snow suit. But because I am still so small it was HUGE on me.

Santa

I sure like being home. There are so many more interesting things to look at.

I am getting excited for this thing called Christmas. We decorated our tree with lights and ornaments. I sure do like the lights. I love looking at all the pretty colors. And sitting in front of the fire. I can sit in front of the lights for hours.

Today I went and met Santa Claus. At least that is what Mommy and Daddy said that I did today. I don't remember it. . . . .I was pretty tired.

Picture Day

Yesterday I had my first "official" photo shoot for my 3 month pictures. It was pretty fun. I did a couple of poses by myself. My favorite one was when I was on one of the blankets my mommy made with my stuffed animals ~ turtle & giraffe. Mommy & Daddy thought they turned out really good. The good suprise that came out of the shoot yesterday is we got family pictures too. They turned out REALLY good. Mommy and Daddy are excited. As soon as I get them I will show them off.

Help Please

Can someone please explain to me what all the fuss is about. . . . Mommy and Daddy keep saying good job, keep it up and thank you. I really wish I knew what I was doing to make them so happy.
