Many Faces of Alyssa

Alyssa had to wear her "Tangled" Pink Dress. . . .and watch Tangled. (It is actually Sleeping Beauty's Dress, but she thinks Rapunzel's dress is pink, so when I saw it, it became Rapunzel's) She brought a stool in the family room to sit like Rapunzel. So happy to entertain me. . . .her are some of her faces Shocked, Sad, Happy, Surprised, Peek A Boo and Monster (Doesn't look too scary).

First Rainy Day of School

Today was the first rainy day of school. I wore my rain coat and used an umbrella. I loved carrying the umbrella and did a really good job keeping myself covered.

1st School Bus Ride Home

Today after school I got to ride the bus home. I didn't want to go to school but was excited to ride the bus home. I really enjoyed my bus ride and wanted to get back on again. I think this will be the highlight of the school day and will help the transition to preschool.

Enjoying the Sun and Meeting a "Moive Star"

We had a wonderful weekend enjoying the sun. My Aunt Jill bought me a new pool. It is much bigger then my other one and I had so much fun swimming and jumping in the pool. I loved playing in the backyard with mommy. We played animals and my favorite animal to be was a lion. I was roaring and scaring everyone. I also met a movie star!!! When I laid eyes on him, I immediately covered my eyes and wouldn't look at him. We walked away. And after about 10 minutes, I told mommy I wanted to go back and ride him. I had so much fun and was sad when the ride was over.

9.7.11 First Day of Pre School

Alyssa was so excited to go to school. When she saw the kids start lining up for the elementary school bus, she had to get her back pack. She put it on and said hi to her friends at the bus stop and then starting walking down the hill towards her school saying "School". It was too early to go, so I told her we had to go in and go potty before we left. She ran in the house pulled down her pants and sat down on the potty. (Which she never does, it usually is like pulling teeth.) As soon as she was done washing her hands she ran and grabbed her backpack and was trying to put it on. She was running to school she was so excited. She was excited when we go there and was happy to play with toys. I was slowly walking away because she was doing great. But almost immediately after leaving she started screaming. I stood outside the door for 30 minutes until I heard the screaming for "Mama" to stop. The teacher kept checking back with me, giving me the thumbs up and waving. . . .It was so hard to leave her!!! I feel I should have stayed longer. . . but she seemed to be doing fine. Let's see if she is willing to go back tomorrow. Only 1 more hour and I can pick her up!!!

9.3.11 Birthday Party

I had a great birthday 3rd party!!! I was very excited when people started coming over and bringing presents. When we opened the door I immediately grabbed the presents and tried opening them. Mommy and Daddy said I had to wait. Which was no fun. They said I had to wait until after cake and ice cream. I was distracted after a while when I started playing in the pool with my friends. We had a great menu of my favorite foods (hot dogs, salami, grapes, Cheetos, pretzels, ice cream and more).

Mommy and Daddy made me a bus cake this year. It turned out really well. It was chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Very yummy. As soon as we were done with cake I immediately asked for presents.

The first present I opened was from my Aunt Michelle. She got me a lot of Belle stuff I immediately wanted to open. I wasn't interested in opening any other presents. I just wanted the Belle Dolls. Mommy said I had to open the other presents. I would open them take a look, realize they weren't Belle and turn back to the first gift. Mommy said it was funny, but she felt bad.

We had a surprise guest, my favorite nurse Erin came to my party. We haven't seen her since I was 4 months old. She is a traveling nurse and is currently in San Francisco. Mommy and my Uncle Dave have kept in touch with her. Uncle Dave and Erin had been planning the surprise visit since April!! Mommy was very excited to see her.

9.2.11 Happy 3rd Birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday Alyssa! I can't believe that my little girl is 3. She is 39 inches and 36 pounds. Not really little anymore!! She continues to bring so much happiness to me and I am amazed at how smart she is and how much her speech is improving every day. She makes me strive to be a better mom and person.

On her birthday we tried to have lots of fun all day. We started off by watching a few of her favorite cartoons. I blew up a bucket of water balloons, which lasted probably 2-3 minutes tops! We played in the back yard, rode her 4 wheeler, swam in her pool, went to the park, played with some friends, swam at the lake, ate dinner, read books and opened a few presents. It was a good day. I am excited for my party.

Our friends (the triplets) Daphne, Fiona and Stella know how much I LOVE shoes. . . they each sent me a pair of shoes. I loved them and immediately had to wear them. Mommy and Daddy gave me one present and it was my absolute favorite!!! I got a pig!!! Pumbha from the Lion King. He has gone every where with me since.

8.28.11 Trouble Sharing

Mommy and Daddy say that I have issues with sharing. . . .Especially with Uncle Dave. Everything is "Mine".

Uncle Dave came over to visit. He got up and said he had to go to the bathroom. Alyssa go up too and ran ahead of of him into the bathroom. She was saying "mine" and started pulling down her pants. She proceeded to attempt to climb onto the toilet and "force" herself to go to the bathroom. She repeatedly told him "no" and "mine". She did this all knowingly because she had the biggest grin on her face as she was doing it.

Man are we going to have issues at Pre-School!!!!

8.26.11 Woodland Park Zoo

Mommy, Grandpa, Grammy and I went to the zoo. On our way down, Mommy asked me what animal I wanted to see. I told her a pig. Fortunately for mommy, she unknowingly chose the gate where the pig was. I was so excited to see and "talk" to the pig. He was oinking to me when I was talking to him. I also got to see a Lion "Simba's Sister", Giraffes, Elephants (Horton's brothers and sisters), penguins, wolves and lots more. BUT ALL I REALLY WANTED TO SEE WAS THE PIG!!!! Through out the entire visit I was demanding to see the pig. When we were about to leave we went to see the pig again. I was so upset that he was sleeping. I yelled for him to "WAKE UP" and he did!! I was so happy.
