Alyssa was born September 2, 2008 with a bowel obstruction. Surgery was performed at Children's Hospital in Seattle, WA 8 hours after birth. She had a jejunal blockage that left her with 51cm of bowel. The portion of bowel beyond the obsturuction had never been used and was very small. She was diagnosed with Short Gut Syndrome. Zachary Edward joined our family September7, 2012. He was born with a condition called PHPV. He is blind in his left eye. We are blessed with two amazing kids!

Now that's what I call a present. I hope that's my stocking but I'll bet that's what everyone is saying.
One day she is sleeping making sure she is slepping when Santa comes and the next day she is looking for a hiding place so she can see Santa when he comes. Oh the facinating mind of Alyssa Zoe Kole Brost what's next for this little one.
What a beautiful Christmas present!!
I must say, that's the cutest Christmas Stocking I've seen. That's a nice place to keep real toasty in this brrrrrrrrrrr cold weather.
