Advanced to 11

We are advancing to 11 today. Things continue to go well.

We have a few outfits that we are able to wear now thanks to grandma and grandpa. Grandpa went and bought two short sleeve outfits and grandma cut the right sleeve and put velcro down the sleeve so that we can take the outfit on and off with her picc line. Up until now we only had one chance a day to put clothes on her because of her IV. If she spit up or her diaper leaked, we would take off the onsie and it would just hang on the wire until the next day when her IV's were changed. Or just have her arm hang out of the outfit, which did not look very comfortable. That was such a hassle, so she wasn't wearing clothes. Now with the velcro we are able to get around the PICC line and change her if need be. Thank you grandma and grandpa!!

NJ was in a car accident yesterday at work. He was stopped in the turn lane waiting to turn when a guy took the corner to short and ran into him head on. He is doing fine though. His back is just a little sore. We don't have bad luck, because things could be a lot worse. But, we sure don't have good luck.

Aren't Grandma's & Grandpa's wonderful. Alyssa is a very lucky girl to have so much love around her. Sorry to hear about NJ and the car accident. Glad that he is okay. Keep getting better Alyssa. You are one tough cookie, -Opps- I mean one tough "peanut". Tell mom to give you a hug & kiss from "Auntie" Sharon or maybe "Grandma" Sharon would be more appropriate.

Go crafty grandma - very creative problem solving! Custom clothes at such a young age - what a well loved girl.

Glad to hear NJ is ok. Sounds like grandma can have a start up business on her hands, chic hospital wear. How very trendy of Alyssa to be the first model! Take care.

When it rains it pours. Sorry to hear about the care accident. I’m so glad that you are okay NJ. Sounds like Alyssa will be going home soon. I’m so happy that she is doing better. I guess the phrase “baby steps” has become very familiar. See you guys soon. Gabe and I are anxious to see her. The kids are too.
