Alyssa was born September 2, 2008 with a bowel obstruction. Surgery was performed at Children's Hospital in Seattle, WA 8 hours after birth. She had a jejunal blockage that left her with 51cm of bowel. The portion of bowel beyond the obsturuction had never been used and was very small. She was diagnosed with Short Gut Syndrome. Zachary Edward joined our family September7, 2012. He was born with a condition called PHPV. He is blind in his left eye. We are blessed with two amazing kids!

Alyssa thinks she sees something in that other babies mouth and she is trying to take it away from her
My gosh Alyssa your getting so big now,look at you standing so tall and proud! I remember when i first met you in your carseat you were so little! Very happy for you Kim & NJ, she's beautiful :-)
