Count Down
Alyssa's surgery went well on Friday. The Hickman line was placed and NJ and I have started training on how to care for Alyssa's line. I have practiced dressing changes and learned how to prepare her TPN tubing and machine. This is going to be a very stressful next few months. It is necessary to be extra careful and keep everything sterile in the multi step processes. We have one more class and then the test of an actual dressing change and TPN set up. It is looking like we can go home on Tuesday if we pass.

I am glad to hear her surgery went well. I saw her the day before the surgery and she sure is looking good. Sounds like the next time we get to see her will be at her home!
