While on vacation I figured out that I could put on my sandals all by myself. I was putting on my sandals all the time along with everyone else's. When we got home I started putting on all my slip on shoes as well. I LOVE SHOES!!! I asked Alyssa to give a smile to mommy and this is what I got. What a ham!Alyssa was born September 2, 2008 with a bowel obstruction. Surgery was performed at Children's Hospital in Seattle, WA 8 hours after birth. She had a jejunal blockage that left her with 51cm of bowel. The portion of bowel beyond the obsturuction had never been used and was very small. She was diagnosed with Short Gut Syndrome. Zachary Edward joined our family September7, 2012. He was born with a condition called PHPV. He is blind in his left eye. We are blessed with two amazing kids!
