Alyssa was born September 2, 2008 with a bowel obstruction. Surgery was performed at Children's Hospital in Seattle, WA 8 hours after birth. She had a jejunal blockage that left her with 51cm of bowel. The portion of bowel beyond the obsturuction had never been used and was very small. She was diagnosed with Short Gut Syndrome. Zachary Edward joined our family September7, 2012. He was born with a condition called PHPV. He is blind in his left eye. We are blessed with two amazing kids!

Grandpa does not like to see Alyssa cry. I wonder if she will try it on us?
It looks like you were having alot of fun at the park Alyssa. Hannah cries too when she has to leave all the fun things at the park behind. Sometimes she screams and kicks to try to embarrass her mom & dad. I think it does embarrass them but she still doesn't get her way. You might try screaming and kicking with your parent's though. It might work. HAHA. Come in to see us at work again soon. Love, Sharon B.
I love that Alyssa has a gigantic smile in every picture. What a happy kid! I can't wait to see her again. I would also like to comment how stylish she is (and clean). I have never seen food stains on those clothes, how do your parents do it?
